Chris Degner went to work with Southern Wine & Spirits of Hawaii as broad market salesperson selling brands in the Diageo and Moet Hennessy portfolio for over 200 accounts on the west side of Maui. He established himself as a premier salesperson with the distributor winning salesperson of the year for the state of Hawaii in 2005 and 2006 and runner up in 2003 and 2004.
Working with countless brands has given him the experience to understand what it takes to grow brands both new and established in highly competitive markets like California, Arizona, Nevada, and Hawaii. With the combination of distributor and supplier experience, Mr. Degner opened his first beverage brokerage business in 2011. Chris has earned a reputation as a premier brand builder on the west coast in both on and off sale accounts.
Where West Coast Beverage Consultants differs from other brokerage houses is that we not only represent the brands we carry, but educate them on what is necessary to thrive in an extremely competitive marketplace. Hawaii Sea Spirits - Since taking on the Western Regional responsibility’s in 2018 the brand volume has increased 250% from 3500 cases to 9000 by end of 2020 and doubling points of distribution including major chains and all big box independent off sale accounts and establishing a strong foundation in the on sale market primarily in California North and South, Arizona and Nevada.
